Canestrelli biscuits


These famous Ligurian biscuits are rings of pastry daisy-shaped or donut, once considered the cookies of the holidays. Handmade following the ancient simple and traditional recipe, these biscuits are delicious for breakfast or served with a good tea in the afternoon. They are natural, very light and crispy. Their name comes from the baskets: cylindrical containers made from woven strips of chestnut, once used for transportation.
